 Tar Wars

Tar Wars is a nationwide interactive tobacco education program for fourth- and fifth-grade students. It is designed to discourage tobacco use among children by giving them an understanding of tobacco’s short-term effects and the way advertising influences people to buy and use tobacco products. A state and national poster contest is a popular piece of the program.

A special thanks to the United Hospital Foundation for providing grant support for the 2007-2008 school year!  More
