MAFP Virtual Resident Blog
You are invited to read and contribute to a new Blog about the
Family Medicine Experience. Our aim is to build online dialogue
about the highlights, challenges, and every day ins and outs of a
Family Medicine Residency which residents like you can use to
exchange ideas and where medical students interested in Family
Medicine learn more and ask questions about our unique specialty.
Help Make Resident Voices Heard
1) Be a Virtual Resident for the MAFP
Check out the new postings at
http://virtualresidency.blogspot.com I’ve done the first few
entries to get things going and will continue to contribute on a
weekly basis. Our goal is to get one resident from each program to
contribute content.
Next contribute. If any of the topics in the Virtual Resident Blog
interest you. Post a comment and get a dialogue going. If none of
them do, you can make your own posting. Just contact me at
wnichols@umn.edu and I will get you started as a contributor.
2) Be A Resident Delegate
Another opportunity to make resident voices heard is at the MAFP
House of Delegates. The MAFP is looking for a resident from each
program to represent their program at the annual House of Delegates
Meeting. Being a Delegate is a low demand position, which will
involve occasionally being asked for you and your classmates input
throughout the year, helping get the word out about upcoming events,
and of course attending the House of Delegates Meeting on [Date].
It’s really not much work, but your input will be very valuable in
helping shape the MAFP’s future initiatives – plus it looks pretty
good on your resume. : )
Please send me an email at
wnichols@umn.edu I you would like to become your program’s
Delegate.
Best of Luck to all of you,
Will Nicholson
