(St. Louis Park)—The Minnesota
Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) installed Alan Olson,
M.D., as President of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians
on April 14, 2011, during its 65th Annual Meeting.
Dr. Olson is a family physician with Affiliated
Community Medical Centers (ACMC) in Redwood Falls. As president, he will serve as the
official representative and spokesperson for the MAFP, be a
member of the Board of Directors and will chair the Executive
Committee of the Board of Directors, in addition to promoting
the ideals and concepts of family medicine.
The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians is a professional
association of approximately 3,000 family physicians, family
medicine residents and medical students organized to assist family
physicians in providing quality medical care in Minnesota. The MAFP
is the largest medical specialty organization in Minnesota and is a
state chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians, one of the
largest national medical organizations in the United States with
more than 97,000 members.
