Why a family physician?
Family physicians are specialists. Family practice is recognized as a
medical specialty by the American Medical Association and the American
Board of Medical Specialties.
Family physicians are trained to treat 85% to 90% of common ailments.
For that reason, and because they are generally the first physician a
patient sees, family physicians are in a very good position to discuss
health care trends and patient education.
