Bronze Level
Bronze Level members have indicated an interest in receiving educational
material concerning research findings that may impact their practice,
but are not able or willing to participate in research opportunities.
Silver Level
Silver Level members have indicated an interest in participating
in Research Network studies but are not interested in involving
their patients. This level of participation could include studies
collecting non-identifiable information such as:
" Demographics on patient populations;
" Practice organization and/or clinical service delivery
models;
" "Card studies," those studies investigating clinical
decision-making process and/or use of treatment guidelines.
The Silver Level designation would be awarded upon completion
of Part 1 of the Primary Care Network Survey (PRINS-1).
Gold Level
Gold Level members have indicated an interest in participating
in Research Network studies individually as well as enrolling
their own patients. Members in this category, and any key staff
involved in obtaining informed consent, would be required to certify
that they have undergone Human Subjects Assurance Training. This
level of participation could include studies collecting non-identifiable
information, as described in the Silver Level membership, as well
as:
" Collecting surveys or questionnaires regarding individual
or group characteristics or behavior;
" Recruiting patients for studies that are of value to family
physicians.
The Gold Level designation would be awarded upon completion of
Parts 1 & 2 of the Primary Care Network Survey (PRINS-1 &
PRINS-2).
Platinum Level
Platinum Level membership will be awarded to a primary care clinic
where all the currently practicing primary care providers are
members of the Research Network, and are interested in enrolling
their patients in studies. Members in this category, and any key
staff involved in obtaining informed consent, would be required
to certify that they have undergone Human Subjects Assurance Training.
This level of participation could include studies collecting non-identifiable
information, as described in the Silver Level membership, as well
as:
" Collecting surveys or questionnaires regarding individual
or group characteristics or behavior;
" Recruiting patients for studies that are of value to family
physicians.
The Platinum Level designation would be awarded upon completion
of Parts 1 & 2 of the Primary Care Network Survey (PRINS-1
& PRINS-2) by all currently practicing primary care providers.
