Shazam!  Silent Auction Raises Nearly $7,000
Thank you to the many generous family physicians who attended the silent auction at the House of Delegates Annual Meeting and Spring Refresher Conference.  Through their financial support, nearly $7,000 was raised for the MAFP Foundation.  A heartfelt “thank you” also goes out to nearly fifty businesses and individuals who generously donated items to the auction. 

Medica DUAL Solution Health Plan Reimburses Providers for Evidence Based Programs
Medica announced that they will reimburse providers for evidence-based health promotion programs such as the chronic disease self-management program.  In 2011, members of Medica's DUAL Solution® health plan, a plan for older adults eligible for Medicare and Medical Assistance, have a new benefit that reimburses providers $120 per DUAL Solution® member who successfully completes an evidence-based health promotion class series.
