A Day in the Life of a Family Medicine Resident
Medical Students: Have you wondered what it's like to be a resident?
Now you can find out.
The MAFP sponsors "A Day in the Life of a Family Medicine Resident" to give you a chance to spend part or all of a
day with a resident in the family medicine residency program of your choice. You
may visit up to three programs.
This program has been very popular with students over the years.
Here is what recent student participants say about the program:
- "It gave me a chance to evaluate the 'flavor' of each
program."
- "After spending 7+ months in Basic Sciences of year one in
med school, it was a real pleasure to see that everything we are
learning helps prepare us for where we are headed in the future
and to catch a glimpse of it too!"
- "Talking with residents one-on-one and watching their
interactions with hospital staff and physicians was the most
valuable aspect of the day."
