Meet the 2012 Minnesota Family Physician of the Year

The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians selected Andrew Burgdorf, M.D., of Buffalo, MN, as its 2012 Family Physician of the Year.

Full Name:  Andrew Burgdorf, M.D.

Practice:  Allina Medical Clinic, Buffalo, MN

Years in Practice:  24

Medical School:  University of Minnesota

Residency Program:  Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program


Family Life:  Married to Sherilyn Burgdorf.  The couple has two children.
 

Volunteer Experience and Community Involvement (in last five years):  Dr.Burgdorf volunteers with Mission Jamaica.  He is a charter member of the Buffalo Community Orchestra.  He is a member of the Buffalo Hospital Board, has served at a local nursing home and is active in the local schools.  He is responsible for helping create a gallery of local artwork in the hospital birth center. 
 

Hobbies:  Music, spending time with family, working outdoors and traveling.
