Alzheimer's Association Early Detection Campaign
Beginning June
2, television viewers in the Twin Cities will see commercials about
Alzheimer’s disease. The Association is launching a campaign
focused at people age 65 and older who are at greatest risk for
developing Alzheimer’s disease.
The campaign
objective is to have individuals call the Alzheimer's Association if
they are experiencing one or more of the "10 Warning Signs" of
Alzheimer's disease. The commercial directs consumers to a dedicated
website (http://www.10signs.org)
and toll-free line (1-866-ALZ-4199) where they can receive more
information.
Physician Tool Kits for physicians and Memory Loss Kits for patients
and families are available If you have questions about the
campaign, or would like to receive physician or family tool kits,
please contact Annette Peterson on the 24/7 information helpline at
800-272-3900.
